During the treatment, your practitioner may find that it is beneficial for you to have some massage along with the acupuncture. At our clinic we use acupressure, and various techniques including some derived from tui na, which is a traditional chinese massage method. Massage serves to relax the tissue and increase blood circulation. It also gives the acupuncturist the opportunity to manually assess your tissue. It is often used at the end of the treatment for completion.
