Acupuncture Treatment
During your treatment you will be lying on a treatment table, like a massage table. You may be asked to partially or fully disrobe, depending on the treatment to be done. We will keep your privacy in mind at all times. You will be warm and covered with a sheet during your session.The acupuncturist will take your pulse, look at your tongue, and palpate your abdomen and other parts of the body that give precise information about your condition. Based on these things, the acupuncture treatment will be planned and carried out.
The pre-sterilized, disposable needles will be placed in your arms and legs, for the most part. Some needles may also be in your hands and feet, neck, shoulders, ears, or head, depending on what is needed.
During the treatment you may feel very relaxed. It is fine to meditate or take a little nap. The acupuncturist will check on you from time to time, and may adjust the needles.
We aim to make the most effective treatment choices and to keep you completely comfortable while you are here. After your treatment you can go about your usual daily activities. The acupuncturist may also recommend herbal or dietary therapies, or activity modifications for you.
